Avevano un’uniforme comune, costituita da gonna corta con copricapo abbinato.
Le cigarettes-girls dei night-club sono state una figura fondamentale del cinema e del teatro, fino alla metà degli anni 50. In seguito, con l’ascesa dei distributori automatici, le ragazze non furono più ricercate.
Anche se, pare che in alcuni casinò e locali notturni, soprattutto nella “strip” di Las Vegas, abbiano ancora trovato impiego.
Mi piaceva l’immagine un pò vintage di queste ragazze che, potrebbero essere scambiate per ballerine in procinto di prepararsi ad una esibizione…

Although, it seems that in some casinos and nightclubs, especially in the “strip” of Las Vegas, they have still found employement.
I like the somewhat vintage image of these girls who could be mistaken for dancers about to get ready for a performance.
